Sharing photos from the 4th Annual International College Chinese Speech Contest. A total of 26 participants spoke on this year’s theme: 'Talents Are Everywhere (千里马常有).'
This year’s winner Yoon Seonglok, from the Hotel and Tourism Department, spoke about relationships. He explained the problems that can occur in interpersonal relationships in impressively fluent Chinese with in-depth insights.During the competition, Dr. Kong Defang of Confucius's 77th generation, performed violin. She was given a warm applause at the end of her performance of the infamous Chinese song, ’The Butterfly Lovers (梁山伯与祝英台).’ In addition, Kang Hojae, from the Design Department, won the first International College Chinese Calligraphy Competition. He wrote the famous poem, ‘Four Poems of Departure (送元二使安西)’ by Wang Wei, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. Kim Oksoon, Dean of the International College, and Lee Kyejeong, head of the CSL Department, attended the competition along with more than 300 spectating students.
